POLICE are warning residents in Ballantrae and Girvan to be extra vigilant following a spate of break-ins in the towns.

In Ballantrae, three homes have been broken into over three nights and officers are currently following the line of enquiry that these incidents are linked.

The first incident occurred overnight between 12pm on November 16 and 10am on November 18 in the town's Duncan Street.
