DRIVERS and commuters in South Ayrshire are being encouraged to take extra care on the roads this morning.
There are potential weather problems which could cause delays. The Scottish Met Office have said today will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, this mainly affecting Ayrshire and Lanarkshire during the morning, but becoming more widespread through the afternoon.
Some brighter spells at first to the north of Glasgow and winds moderate to fresh from the west. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
At the moment trains do not appear to be affected.
Tonight will be cloudy with with outbreaks of rain, the rain possibly heavy at times.
However, it will push south overnight with clearing skies by dawn. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Thursday should be bright with some sunny spells and a few blustery showers. Feeling cool in the moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, strong at times around the coast. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Easing winds and mainly dry and bright on Friday. Overnight rain clearing to showers on Saturday, then mainly dry and bright on Sunday.
