GOLFERS from to the west coast of Scotland came to the fore for charity last week.
13 teams took part in the Hansel Golf Spectacular competition at Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf course in Troon, on Thursday May 4.
The participants helped to tee up over £4,500 for the Prestwick based charity, Hansel.
The top prize, the Munro Quaich, was won by the group from Clansman Interiors.
After a morning on the greens, the golfers tucked into a buffet lunch followed by a short auction and then the prize-giving.
Sheila McLean, Hansel fundraising manager, said: “For once the weather was on our side, which made a huge difference as we usually run out of golf umbrellas and spare waterproofs.
"Everyone was in great spirits and it was a really good competition with some high calibre shot-making.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part for their support and Barassie Golf Club – the hospitality was fantastic as always.”
