TRUMP Turnberry could be run by the President Elect’s children it has been claimed.

Mr Trump has announced he is to leave his business empire to focus on the presidency and avoid perceived conflicts of interest.

It is understood that the main financial concerns will pass to Ivanka, 35, who has already proven herself as a successful business woman in her father’s real estate and hotel management arms.

She and her brothers Donald Jr and Eric are also involved in running of the golf courses but it is not yet clear who will run Turnberry.

Mr Trump focused on his plans to distance himself from his business in a series of four tweets released over 20 minutes on Wednesday, November 30.

He gave few details but said he would expand on a press conference this month.

Donald Trump is already under pressure to hand over control of his business to someone outwith his family while he is president. But this is not a favourable option for Mr Trump who is determined to keep them close.

There is already controversial opinions in South Ayrshire about Mr Trump and his money after the comments he made regarding Muslims during his campaign.

But many feel that his money can only be beneficial for Turnberry and the surrounding area. As Mr Trump noted there is no legal requirement to liquidate assets but past US presidents have set aside their business dealings.

But his rivals have raised repeated concerns this may cause problems in the coming months. It seems that the future of Turnberry will be more certain on Thursday, December 15 following a press conference in New York.
