A FORMER Wellington School pupil has raised more than £4000 for for Bloodwise and Ayr Hospital.
Tricia Fern held her charity horse show at Rozelle Park recently for the charities which are close to her heart and raised £4172.52.
Tricia's mum, Susan Harper, was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2008 and went through various treatments at Ayr Hospital and at the Beatson, including a bone marrow transplant, and is now in remission.
The money was split between Bloodwise formally known as Leukaemia and Lymphonia research and station 15 at Ayr Hospital where they donated the cheque to last week.
Tricia has already raised £20,000 since her first show in 2009.
Speaking about the event itself, she said: "There was no drama on the day itself. The event was busy with dogs and spectator. We got a lot of support and a good amount of money was raised."
