A SILVER wedding party in a village hall ended in a bloodbath with one guitar-playing guest having his finger bitten off.

Everyone had been enjoying themselves at the celebration in the community centre at Trabboch near Mauchline, Ayrshire, until Andrew Strang began to brandish a large sausage and make derogatory remarks about the host's sexual prowess.

Strang, 35, waved the frankfurter-type savoury in 48-year-old William Ewan's face and told him: "Take this home to your wife instead of Mr Floppy."
