HIGHLY visible patrols will be part of the 2012 SafeAyr Shore Initiative to ensure that Ayr beach is a safe place to be for the residents of South Ayrshire and visitors.

Speaking on this year's initiative Chief Inspector Neil Kerr, South Ayrshire Area Commander, said: "SafeAyr Shore has taken place annually for a number of years. Its success has been evident, year on year and continues to be well received by our communities and partners alike, impacting positively on the environs of the esplanade, creating a safer, pleasant and reassuring facility for all to enjoy."
