AN AMERICAN bulldog and her litter of pups are at the centre of a bitter custody battle between two former lovers.
Ross Smith, 30, is the registered owner of the three-year-old bitch called Jordan.
He has instructed his solicitor to take a Civil Action against his former girlfriend, Carol Fleming, to have the bulldog and her pups returned to him at his home in Girvan.
At her flat in Ayr last week 23-year-old Carol said she was adamant that she was keeping Jordan and the litter until she is able to find good homes for the remaining pups.
