A YOUNG man from Dalmilling has just been recruited as an apprentice thanks to the Access Construction Ayrshire programme.

Nathan Brown, of Dalmilling, and Steven McCallum, of Saltcoats, have both been taken on by building firm CCG after the apprenticeship programme was extended by Ayrshire Housing, who are project managing South Ayrshire Council's first council housing in 30 years.

The boys were congratulated by South Ayrshire Councillors John Hampton, Nan McFarlane and Douglas Campbell on a recent visit to see progress on the site at Thornyflatt.
