EIGHT objections have been lodged ahead of a planning application to build a care home and residential development in Maybole.

The proposal is for an elderly care home and a mix of housing to be built on the disused site at Ladyland Road in the town.

Exact sizes of the home and housing development are still to be considered but the plans outline that the care home will have 100 per cent single room, en-suite facilities.
