Members of the Ayrshire Region of the Pike Anglers Club, and the wider West of Scotland Pike Angling community have raised £1,758 for Parkinson’s UK research, through a recent Loch fishing event.
David Paxton, a member of the club and also of the local Parkinson’s UK Ayrshire Support Branch, was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of Parkinson’s UK from club members Davie Towle, Scott Guthrie and Dave Morris.
Jan Mattison, Regional Fundraiser for West Scotland said: “As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. But our work is dependent on donations. We are very grateful to the members of Ayrshire Pike Anglers Club for their generous support and would like to thank everyone who participated.”
