MARKING the year of the young people, a summer sketch was performed to mark Girvan’s 350-year anniversary.
The Jolly Good Show, a sketch that was created and written by local writers, Yvonne K. Jack and Rhona C.S. Anderson, the performance was brought to life by the show’s producer, Ann McGinnis and her troupe of actors in Girvan.
In recognition of the Year of the Young People, six out of the 12 talented local performers were under the age of 14 – showcasing the great theatrical talent that can be found in South Carrick.
The Jolly Good show will be returning with a new production in December this year.
