THE Girvan Harbour Gala was a success despite a downpour of rain.
The annual event, which was held on Sunday, July 15, had plenty of activities for the visitors to enjoy, including a raft race which saw the B Team win this year’s race, Electric Warrior playing live from the beer tent and a live display of the RNLI Girvan Lifeboat, which was accompanied by the HM Coastguard SAR Helicopter – however just as the helicopter was about to start its display, it was called to a live incident.
The World Cup Final was also viewed at the event.
Gala King, Calum Muir was crowned with the Lady in Waiting, Summer Galloway.
Our photographer Ken McKissock was there on hand to capture the day’s events.
