TWO separate serious assaults also took place in Girvan.

The first incident took place between 7.30pm and 11.30pm within a garden on Park Road, where a 26-year-old man suffered a serious injury to his hand and a 59-year-old man suffered a minor injury to his face Three men are being sought.

The first is described as 6ft, well built with a shaven head, wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and black jogging bottoms.

The second was about 20-years-old, around 5ft 6in, skinny build, wearing a dark hooded top and jogging bottoms.

The third was about 27-years-old, around 5ft, stocky build with dark bushy hair wearing a dark hooded top and jogging bottoms.

A separate incident happened on Linden Avenue, where a 36-year-old man was assaulted near to a common close between 10.10pm and 11.30pm.

The suspect is described as around 6ft tall, short ginger hair and was bare-chested wearing knee length shorts.

DC Paul McRoberts, of Ayr CID, said: “Both of these incidents resulted in the victims having to attend hospital to be treated for their injuries. There’s no place for violence in our communities and it won’t be tolerated.”
