AS WELL as competing for the title of Miss Scotland, the Prestwick teen has organised a sponsored dip for Alzheimer’s Scotland.
Aimee Walker who is 19 will complete her ‘Dad and Daughter Dip’ for her Papa, who is living with Alzheimer’s - the condition which causes dementia.
Aimee’s Papa was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s about five years ago and the charity is one close to her heart.
She explained: “I decided to raise money for Alzheimer’s Scotland because my Papa has been living with the condition for about five years now. My Dad and Daughter Dip is down on Prestwick beach at 8am this Sunday, June 3.”
Alzheimer’s Scotland is the leading dementia organisation in Scotland. They campaign for the rights of people with dementia and their families and provide support.
