THE GAIETY Showwalkers joined more than 7,000 Kiltwalkers on Sunday.

A team of staff and volunteers took part in the Kiltwalk Glasgow 2018 campaign to raise money to support The Gaiety’s outreach initiative for disadvantaged youths and older people living with Dementia in Ayrshire.

Suzanne McLellan, Marketing & Audience Development Manager, said: “Due to recent funding cuts The Gaiety’s incredible outreach initiatives are heading for a standstill.

“You can support #TheGaietyShowwalkers Kiltwalk 2018 campaign and help 2,000 people access Dementia Friendly events at The Gaiety and in their community through our GaietyACTout! Care Home initiative.

“Sir Tom Hunter’s ‘Hunter Foundation’ will add 40 percent to your donation- meaning 140 percent of all funds goes directly to our charity to help us make a difference in your community. Help us go the extra smile for your community.”

So far £2,251 of their £2,500 target has been reached. To donate visit https://glasgowkiltwalk2018.everydayhero.com/uk/the-gaiety-showwalkers
