THE Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Ayr to help animals in their care by donating prizes for their Rehoming Week open day raffle and tombola.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is hosting open days at their centres throughout Scotland on Saturday, May 12 to encourage the public to come along, have fun and meet the animals in their care who are looking for a forever home.
Scottish SPCA Ayr Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre Manager Marion Hainey is appealing to kind hearted locals to donate toiletries, wine and any unwanted gifts they might have lying around from Christmas.
Marion said: “We’re looking forward to the open day and hope we can find new homes for some of the many animals in our care.
“We’ll be running different events on the day and would really appreciate any donations for the raffle and tombola.
“The money raised on the day will help abused, abandoned and injured animals.”
Donations can be handed into the centre at Millview, No. 4 Holding, Mainholm, Ayr KA6 5HD.
