Victory for Kyle Academy pupil
A PUPIL from Kyle Academy, captain of the Scotland West Boys’ volleyball team, led the group to victory at a major event.
Matthew Baines, 17, from Drongan and the team went to Northern Ireland to take part in the 2017 School Games National Finals at Loughborough University and won 2-0.
Of his School Games experience Matthew said: “We came together really well and have enjoyed the challenge. It’s been a really good experience and has been so good watching everyone improve.”
The four-day event is supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust.
