The school bell rang exactly 20 years ago for St Patricks Primary in Troon.
Since then, teachers and pupils have featured in the Troon Times as it became an integral part of the community.
We are looking back at the opening ceremony that took place on Friday, August 22, 1997.
Pupils were piped into the new building, which costed £1.2million, after they spent 15 months at Queen Margaret Academy in Ayr while the primary school was being refurbished.
