A GIRVAN drug dealer has been ordered to hand over £15,000 for supplying cocaine from his home address.
Andrew Walker, of Ailsa Street East, owned up to being concerned in the supply of the controlled class A drug on January, 29 last year.
The 28-year-old appeared before Sheriff Carole Cunninghame at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
Depute Fiscal Cath Whyte told the court that the crown wanted a confiscation order to be put in place.
Based on the profits he made from dealing the drug, Sheriff Cunninghame ordered Walker to pay a £15,000 confiscation order within six months.
Seizing the money and assets of criminals and organised crime groups significantly curtails their activities, prevents them from re-investing their profits, and makes it difficult for them to carry out their criminal enterprises.
