Ayrshire College is organising a three day clearing event aimed at school leavers who are due to receive their exam results in early August, to help them find a suitable college course.
The events will provide the opportunity for school leavers and their family members to come to the college, where they will be able to speak to lecturers about their options, and to find out more about the courses starting in August. The events are also open to anyone who wants to retrain or learn new skills to help them get back into employment.
The events will be held on August 8, 9 and 10 from 10am to 4pm at the Ayr, Kilmarnock and Kilwinning campuses.
Each person will receive an interview, with a decision being made on the day about their place on an available course. Student funding staff will also be on hand to help with any funding queries.
Ayrshire College has also recently launched ‘career coach’ which can be found on the college website.
Career coach is designed to help you find a good career by providing the most current local data on wages, job vacancies, and indicates what courses are available at the college, to help you get started on a particular career path.
