A MAN and a woman were attacked in the street near to Flynn's Boatyard in Girvan.
It is claimed the incident took place at 2.20am on Sunday, April 16 on Bridge Street when a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were assaulted.
At that time a group of people, believed to be three men and two women, exited a dark coloured vehicle.
They approached the 25-year-old and began to assault him. The 22-year-old stepped into help but was dragged to the ground and assaulted as well.
They then made off in a small hatchback style vehicle and have been described as wearing dark clothing at the time.
Police are continuing their inquiries into the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
