A WHOLE host of acts - from a magician to a tenor saxophonist and a violinist - took to the stage for a special fundraising talent show organised by Ayr Presbytery in Kingcase Parish Church, Prestwick.

Organiser the Rev Jill Clancy said: "We had a fabulous night at our Presbytery’s Got Talent Night. We had 18 Acts representing over a dozen churches in the Presbytery. There was a a magician, a dancer, Tiller Girls, drama from St James' Ladies and the quickest panto of Cinderella from the teenagers of Alloway Parish Church.

"There were soloists, singers, pianist, tenor saxophone and violinist, ranging from 11 years old upwards. Kingcase had their Sunday Funday Group singing and playing their instruments, and we had a choir who are from many of the village churches around."

In all £1959 was raised on the night, and since then the target of £2000 has been reached.

Money raised will be taken on the forthcoming Presbytery trip to Malawi to give to the many different organisations which will be visited by the team whilst there from schools to Orphanages, the Ekwendeni HIV/AIDS Church of Scotland Project, Churches, Widows Organisation and Guilds among others.
