A MAN who was found by police using a brick as an offensive weapon has been released on bail.

Lee Rodgerson, formally of James Brown Avenue, Ayr admitted being in possession with the concrete without lawful authority on the footpath of Glenmuir Place in December last year.

He also owned up to recklessly destroying the fence on James Brown Avenue, by kicking it as well as striking a door.

The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to shouting, swearing and repeatedly uttering threats of violence on the same day.

Rodgerson appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute fiscal Scott Toal said: "The incident happened at 5.30pm. The was within the property with her daughter.

"The path of her home address is joint with the accused's grand mother. The complainer heard a noise and saw Rodgerson kicking the garden fence.

"Her daughter opened the front the door and the accused was spoken to about this. He said 'get Snowball' -which is the name of a man' - f***ing out here.

"He continued to shout and swear at the women saying 'if I f***ing get in I will f***ing get you. The woman was petrified. Rodgerson made off in an unknown direction.

"Officers attended and observed blood stains on the garden fence. Statements were taken. Police found the accused with a brick in his hand. The total damage to the property cost £170."

Sheriff Leslie deferred sentence to call for background reports.
