SOUTH Ayrshire Council have agreed planning in principle for a possible affordable housing development in the land at Britannia Place in Ayr.
There were no applicant nor objectors present at the Regulatory Planning meeting at County Hall on Thursday, February 2.
The land is currently not being used and is targeted for potential affordable housing.
Councillor Ann Galbraith said: “This is a big improvement. Something that is needed.
“An excellent plan.”
Councillor Ian Cavana expressed his disappointment at a lack of objectors present.
He said: “Disappointed of no objectors. I do welcome this report. I do have problems over parking in this area though.”
More planning is set to go ahead.
