THERE is an end to the dispute as Flix Fun Bar got the go-ahead to stage male and female Burlesque nights.

The Girvan venue appeared before the licensing board meeting this past Thursday revealing they had came to an agreement on core hours for alcohol on sales on a Thursday evening with the objectors.

This meant that the objectors now had no problem with Flix Fun Bar's plans of Burlesque nights, psychic nights and under-age pre-planned discos for children.

The hearing was heard last month and the decision was delayed to this month's hearing.

Charlene Irvine who owns the bar was present and said: "I am very happy with everything. I said everything I needed to say at last month and I am happy with that."

It was then revealed that the owner had came to an agreement with objector and were now happy to proceed. Chair of the meeting, Councillor Ann Galbraith then approved the application.

MEANWHILE, the licensing board meeting also approved a change to licence hours for the Hamilton Arms in Girvan.

The pub will now be open to 2:30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, however to comply with the South Ayrshire licensing board policy this means the pub will not be able to sell alcohol until 12pm on those selected days.
