THE Claremont Care Home in Ayr is celebrating after its annual summer fete raised a staggering £966, smashing its original fundraising target.
The care home, in Whitletts, opened its doors to the public and invited them in to enjoy some fun in the sun with the residents and staff.
Various activities and stalls were set up for residents, guests and visitors at the home, including a home baking stall, bottle stall, raffle, candles and jewellery stall, and live music was provided throughout the day to keep everyone entertained.
Joined by their relatives and friends, the residents at Claremont had a great afternoon browsing the attractions and assisting staff on the stalls and games.
Carol Barr, Home Manager at Bupa’s Claremont Care Home, said: “This year we really went all out and the fete was bigger and better than ever. It was a resounding success, with visitors attending from far and wide and the music really added to the lively atmosphere.”
“We are all thrilled the event managed to raise so much money and would like to thank everyone involved.”
