IT IS not long until the Hayden Lawrie memorial fund to raise money for Michelle Sharkey, mother of five-year-old Tilly, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The fun day will be held at Ayr's Pro Soccer on Saturday, July 30 and will also raise money for for Ayrshire SANDS, a charity who helps parents and families affected by miscarriages and stillbirths.

Kayley Fulton Brian Lawrie's daughter Hayden was stillborn and after Kayley suffered a rare uterine rupture when she was 30 weeks pregnant.

The money raised will also be split with the campaign to soundproof Crosshouse Maternity Hospital. The family have already raised just under £18,000 in their first two years of fundraising.

Hayden's mother Kayley Fulton said: "I can't believe that after counting down to this event for just under a year that we are finally into single figures, it's come round so fast and doesn't seem that long ago since we were preparing for our very first event.

"We've a list as long as our arm of last minute things to do and the nerves are well and truly setting in once again but we cannot wait to see it all come together next week.

"Raising over £18000 has been amazing but we are so looking forward to smashing that this year for Hayden and Tilly. The day is going to be fantastic and a great day out for all the family so we hope to see you all there.

"Along with our families we have witnessed the amazing work the charity does first hand after our beautiful daughter, Hayden, was stillborn and to say thank you for the amazing help and support they gave us at the most difficult and heartbreaking time of our lives.

"We want to give them something back to let them continue the great work that they do.

"We welcome everyone to come along to our family fun day to help raise as much money as possible to help others who are sadly put in the same situation as us."

There will be lots of activities on offer for all ages including face painting, bouncy castles, a petting zoo, stalls, psychic readings, games, raffles and bingo on the day itself.

Kayley added: "We aim to make 2016 an even bigger, better event to build upon the £17793.93 we have already raised so get yourselves along, and bring your friends and family too as their will be lots to do for all ages."
