BUILDING a solid reputation for himself in the construction industry has earned Allan Cunningham a national award.

The site manager from Barassie has earned an award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for achieving the highest standards possible in his field of expertise.

Mr Cunningham is currently based at the Earl’s Green development in Barassie, and was recognised by the industry body with his second Pride in the Job award, ahead of 15,000 site managers across the UK.

He works for Stewart Milne Homes, no stranger to awards themselves, where his meticulous professionalism has also won him three NHBC Health and Safety awards.

For his latest accolade, he excelled through 12 months of rigorous judging and will now go on to the NHBC Scotland Pride in the Job awards event at the Hilton Glasgow in September.

Mr Cunningham said: “The NHBC is looking for thorough attention to detail at all stages of the build and it’s a great achievement to be recognised nationally for the quality of workmanship that we put into these sites.

"Our team at Earl’s Green are full of passion, determination and desire to deliver a quality product to our customers and I’d like to thank them for their continued hard work.”

Launched a year ago, the Earl’s Green development has already proved extremely popular with more than half of the available homes already sold.

Scott McLeary, construction director at Stewart Milne Homes, added: “Allan is a true asset to Stewart Milne Homes and thoroughly deserves to be recognised for his commitment to quality and solid workmanship.

"The qualities that have earned Allan this award are reflected across all of our developments and we and we wish him the best of luck and further success at the awards in September.”
